Technical Compliance
EPSTech products are manufactured and tested to meet Australian building codes, National Construction Code requirements, and relevant Australian Standards. Below is an overview of the compliance framework our materials are designed to satisfy.
Built to Australian Standards
All EPSTech EPS and polyurethane products are produced with compliance in mind — from raw material selection through to finished hard-coat application. We work closely with builders, certifiers, and architects to ensure our systems meet the requirements of the NCC and relevant state regulations.
Applicable Standards
Thermal Insulation Materials
EPSTech EPS products conform to AS 4859.1, the Australian Standard for materials used in the thermal insulation of buildings, covering dimensional stability, compressive strength, and thermal resistance values.
National Construction Code
Our cladding and moulding systems are designed to support compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), including Volume One (Class 2–9 buildings) and Volume Two (Class 1 and 10 buildings) requirements for wall systems and external finishes.
Fire Hazard Properties
EPS substrates used in EPSTech systems are tested to AS 1530.3 for ignitability, spread of flame, heat evolved, and smoke developed indices. Our polyurethane hard-coat finishing system provides an additional fire-retardant barrier.
Fibre Cement Products
Where fibre cement components are incorporated into EPSTech cladding assemblies, they are sourced to meet AS/NZS 2908.2 for flat sheet products used in wet and dry area applications.
Energy Efficiency
EPSTech insulation systems contribute to meeting the energy efficiency provisions of the NCC, supporting NatHERS thermal performance ratings for residential construction across Queensland and nationally.
Quality Management
EPSTech operates under a quality management framework aligned with ISO 9001 principles, ensuring consistent product quality, traceability, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing and finishing operations.
